  • Non-litigation legal affairs related to foreign-related marriage, including: marital property agreements, divorce negotiations, and divorce agreements.
  • Non-litigation legal affairs related to foreign-related inheritance, including: will establishment and arrangements, voluntary guardianship arrangements, identity verification and confirmation of heirs/beneficiaries, processing of kinship certificates, investigation and inventory of estate status, clarification of inheritance procedures, assistance in notarizing inheritance rights, assistance in estate transfer, drafting, signing, and executing estate division agreements, and providing Chinese legal opinions on inheritance or identity issues.
  • Disposal of asset located in China for overseas Chinese, including: investigation and confirmation/inheritance/management of ancestral property, real estate transactions (including mortgage, buying and selling, establishment of the right of habitation, leasing), etc.

  • Typical Cases
  • Issued Legal Opinions to the High Court of Hong Kong on behalf of multiple residents of the Chinese Mainland regarding their applications for the inheritance of non-real estate assets in Hong Kong.
  • Foreign-related equity inheritance project with an equity value of approximately RMB 330 million, involving equity interests in eight companies located in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai and Beijing, with successors in the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Canada.
  • Foreign-related testamentary inheritance and bequest projects with a total value of approximately RMB 140 million (the will was made in Hong Kong and executed in both Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland, and the legacy involved real estate, jewelry, cash, etc.).
  • Handling the historical issues of the ancestral house of an overseas Chinese, assisting the client to sort out the historical problems, unify the ownership, and re-issue the certificate.
  • Assisted the Indian client in obtaining a criminal record clearance certificate for applying for a US green card and complete the Hague certification.
